Research

I am a Clinical Research Fellow in Vascular Surgery with a key interest in invasive and non-invasive imaging of atherosclerosis in vascular disease. The title of my PhD project is “Multi-modality Imaging to Determine the Role of Calcification and Inflammation on Restenosis Rates Following Lower Limb Angioplasty – The CIRLA Study”. This research uses positron emission tomography to measure vessel activity. The research is performed in collaboration with the Department of Surgery and Department of Medicine (Cardiovascular Medicine). The research is supported by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the British Heart Foundation.

I am also an honorary Vascular Surgery Registrar within the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and hold a National Training Number in Vascular Surgery for the East of England region.
