BHF Cambridge Centre for Cardiovascular Research Excellence (CRE) and Cardiovascular Strategic Research Initiative (SRI) are organising an Early Careers Event on Tuesday 22nd September. This free event will take place in the McGrath Centre (St Catharine's College, Cambridge) and will be free of charge. However, we will be restricted to 150 delegates due to the venue size. Please follow this link to EventBrite to register!
We are putting together an exciting programme with talks and posters - with Mr Stephen Large (Papworth Hospital) and Prof Barbara Casadei (Oxford) having agreed to provide keynote talks. Representatives from funders (BHF, EPSRC) and the University (Careers Service, Public Engagement, Research Communications) will be present to provide advice during break times, and we will run "turbo networking" to connect people with complementary research skills. We have also invited Melanie Taylor to run some improvisation exercises with those interested.
We hope to see many new faces in September!Cardiovascular Early Careers Event, Draft Programme
