WT-MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Research Technicians to join Dr Sanjay Sinha’s group, based within the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute. This part-time post is funded by a British Heart Foundation programme grant. The Sinha Lab uses induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) to model aortic disease such as Marfan syndrome to identify molecular mechanisms and new treatments (Granata et al. Nature Genetics 2017;49:97-109).

The role is primarily concerned with the management and smooth running of Dr Sinha’s research group. The role holder will organise the laboratory in terms of maintaining equipment, supplies and expenditure. In addition, the role holder will provide technical, experimental and administrative support to the Sinha lab. The ideal candidate will have at least an HNC, or equivalent, in a biological subject, together with experience in areas of relevance to the research group.  Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently, are also essential.

This is a full-time position for up to 5 years, with the possibility of further extension.
