Cardiovascular & Metabolic Early Careers Research Day 2017

Cardio-Metabolic ECR 2017 organisers

Cardio-metabolic disease is one of the core research themes in the planned Cambridge Heart & Lung Research Institute. To encourage cross-talk between groups doing cardiovascular and metabolic research, we ran a cardio-metabolic research day jointly with Metabolic Strategic Research Network.

This free event took place on Thursday 2 November at St Catharine's College, Cambridge, and attracted 80 delegates. The programme was packed with four themed sessions of talks, a poster session, and two training sessions on communication. Event booklet (including speaker biographies and abstracts) can be downloaded here.

The event was organised by a team of postdoctoral research associates and PhD students from both networks - many thanks to you all:

  • Dr Caroline Archer
  • Ms Victoria Auyeung
  • Ms Sarah Burgess
  • Dr Tessa Cacciottolo
  • Dr Ana-Mishel Spiroski
  • Ms Annabel Taylor
  • Ms Jessica Walsh
  • Dr Hannah Yong
