The Accelerate Programme for Scientific Discovery, based in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, offers support for researchers across the University to use AI in their research.
Generative AI is transforming fields by enabling machines to create text, images, molecules, proteins. This course provides an introduction to generative AI, covering foundational concepts, state-of-the-art architectures, and real-world applications. Participants will gain introduction to models like GANs, VAEs, Transformers and Diffusion models.
Open to all postgraduate students and staff our courses are designed to support you at all stages of implementing AI in your research. All courses take place on the West Campus and registration is free.
Lunch will be provided with the opportunity for networking during the breaks.
