Welcome. If you are applying for funding from the BHF CRE to support a 3-year cardiovascular PhD at Cambridge, please make your application via the postgraduate application portal. You will be asked to upload a CV, a one page research proposal and a statement of interest. Before applying, please make sure that you fulfil the qualification and English-speaking criteria for the University as if you do not, your application will not be considered.

As we are an interdisciplinary Centre, BHF CRE studentship funds can be used to support a PhD based in any department of Cambridge University. Students will be jointly supervised by two investigators, where at least one should be from the following list of eligible supervisors. The ‘eligible supervisor’ can be either your primary or secondary supervisor, i.e. you do not have to be based in their research group. You are strongly encouraged to contact a potential supervisor to discuss research interests and possible projects and for help to develop your research proposal in line with the CRE themes.
