Applications should be made via the Graduate Applicant Portal. Apply for the Studentship and for a relevant course by the earliest deadline.

The requirements below are replicated from instructions given on the Applicant Portal.

Research proposal

Research proposals should cross traditional research disciplines and/or involve two or more CRE themes. Before applying, it is highly recommended that you 1. read our studentship page (https://www.cardiovascular.cam.ac.uk/students/bhf-cambridge-cre-3-year-i...) and 2. contact a potential supervisor to discuss research interests and possible projects and for help to develop your research proposal in line with CRE themes. PhD students will be jointly supervised by two investigators, where at least one should be from the BHF Cambridge CRE list of eligible supervisors (https://www.cardiovascular.cam.ac.uk/students/bhf-cambridge-cre-3-year-i...). Your research proposal should be no longer than one page long, should include the names of at least one but preferably both potential supervisors and should state whether your proposal is endorsed by one or both of them.

Statement of interest

Outline your background, suitability for this BHF CRE studentship, your research interests and motivation for pursuing a PhD in your proposed area of cardiovascular science. Give your reasons for applying for an interdisciplinary studentship.
