pleased to invite you to join the Cambridge Global Challenges (CGC) Interdisciplinary Research Centre (IRC) are pleased to announce an interactive workshop themed "Equity in International Research Partnerships: Accelerating Progress toward the SDGs". The workshop is designed to foster an open dialogue between academics including early-career researchers and institutional representatives from Cambridge and Global South research institutions, with a focus on Africa. It aims to review Cambridge University’s guidelines on Equity in Research Partnerships and explore how they can be enhanced, in collaboration with Global South partners, to accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Workshop Highlights:
- Opening Remarks by Professor Bhaskar Vira FAcSS, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and Environmental Sustainability, University of Cambridge.
- Keynote Presentation by Professor Tassew Woldehanna, an esteemed economist and former President of Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia.
- Expert Presentations from Cambridge University's Research Office, the Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO), and research institutions from the Global South.

Roundtable Discussions aimed at exploring how the University's guidelines on equitable partnerships can enable more impactful collaborations between Cambridge researchers and partners in the Global South.

This workshop is open to academics, including early-career researchers, staff involved in research partnerships and funding management, and institutional representatives from Cambridge and the Global South.
