We are delighted to welcome Lars Velten as the speaker for our next seminar, taking place on Wednesday 11th February at 3pm (UK time). The title of his talk is “Tracing blood stem cell clones with somatic epimutations”. 

Lars Velten is a Group Leader of the Single Cell and Synthetic Genomics of Blood Formation research group at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona. His research focuses on the analysis of clonal heterogeneity in leukaemia and healthy haematopoiesis through the development and application of novel genomics-based methods. Prior to starting his group in 2020, he worked at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany, where he characterised for the first time the continuous nature of human haematopoiesis using single-cell RNA-seq.
