Prof. Gordon Klein from the University of Texas Medical Branch

Prof Gordon Klein talk will be on ' Lessons from the WHO Non-Communicable Disease Initiative about Chronic Disease`

What links osteoporosis and heart disease? Dr. Gordon Klein reveals surprising connections between two of aging's biggest health challenges and explores what these links mean for the future of prevention.

About the speaker

Dr. Gordon Klein began his distinguished research career at Wolfson (then University College) 56 years ago. His journey comes full circle in this talk as he revisits his early work in the Department of Investigative Medicine. Dr. Klein will also reflect on the influence of his occasional laboratory supervisor, Edward de Bono, and how the principles of "lateral thinking" have shaped his approach to complex medical challenges in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation.
