Over the past six years as International President of MSF, Dr Christou has witnessed first-hand the devastating impact of conflict on health — from Gaza to Sudan, Yemen to Ukraine.

In this conversation with Rob Williams, he will reflect on the profound challenges of delivering humanitarian healthcare in war zones, the lessons learnt from the frontlines, and what it takes to uphold dignity when systems collapse.

The discussion will explore how attacks on healthcare, political constraints, and protracted displacement continue to reshape humanitarian practice — and how we might move toward more just and effective responses to crisis.
