Dr Joanna-Marie Dear (Nee Howes)

I am a post-doctoral biochemist with experience in both scientific research and product development labs. During my career (principally at the University of Cambridge) I have specialised in vascular biochemistry, collagen and platelet biology. I am experienced in a wide range of biochemical techniques and have numerous first-author publications in high-ranking scientific journals.
I also have experience in the development of new assays, protocol verification, optimization, streamlining and modernization in line with ISO 13485 where appropriate. Data monitoring, collation, organization and storage. Compilation of company scientific reports and publications. Overseeing maintenance and production procedures including sample collection, analysis and data processing. I also have experience in science communication and am a qualified phlebotomist.
