Marc Dewey is the Professor of Radiology at the University of Cambridge.
Marc’s work focuses on quantitative cardiothoracic imaging (QCI) and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve diagnosis and guide patient care to prevent myocardial infarction and stroke.
Marc leads international randomised medical imaging trials (CAD-Man, DISCHARGE, INCHARGE) and coordinates global research programmes on imaging-based precision medicine (QCI Study Group) and medical image data sharing (GUIDE-IT). Marc is particularly interested in how new technologies can be translated into meaningful clinical impact for patients.
Teaching and mentoring are central to Team Dewey. Marc has trained medical students, residents, and doctoral researchers over many years, and in Cambridge contributes to both undergraduate and postgraduate education. Marc also works closely with multidisciplinary teams across the NHS and especially at Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) and Royal Papworth Hospital (RPH) where he works as an honorary clinical consultant.
