The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the main funder of cardiovascular research in UK. We are running a half-day event for donors and supporters on Monday 18th June to show how we use the funding received from the BHF.

The day will start around noon with CPR training and an opportunity to talk to BHF-funded PhD students and postdoctoral scientists about their research.

This will be followed by short talks by Simon Gillespie (BHF Chief Executive), Nilesh Samani (BHF Medical Director), and Nick Morrell (BHF Cambridge Centre Director) to give delegates an overview of how BHF funding is used across UK and to highlight some ongoing research projects in Cambridge.

We will then divide into groups to visit research laboratories covering the main research areas of the BHF Cambridge Centre.

Please contact Vicky Reid if you would like to volunteer to present a poster or run a lab demo, or if you have any questions about this event.
