Cambridge Cardiovascular

Call for ideas - Cambridge Festival 2026

Cambridge Cardiovascular invites proposals from members of our network for public engagement activities to run during Cambridge Festival 16 March - 2 April 2025.

Events or activities should be based on cardiovascular research and might be aimed at engaging adults, teenagers, children and families or specific groups (such as patients, teachers, local residents). We are particularly keen to hear ideas for new children's game-type activities based around cardiovascular health, as we'd like to refresh our offering for family weekends. Other ideas might be a public talk, an art project, craft activity, online materials, discussion event etc.

Factors we will take into consideration in choosing successful proposals are:

  • Alignment with current cardiovascular research
  • Feasibility
  • Likely audience/reach
  • Longevity, e.g. will it be something we can use again/ film/ learn from.

Successful proposals will be supported with funding of up to £2K and with practical advice and assistance, where needed.

Please use a Cambridge University login to complete our online form by 2 November 2025. Proposers unable to use the Google Form, please contact jms80@cam.ac.uk
