I manage cardiovascular research in Cambridge through three main avenues:

Cardiovascular Strategic Research Initiative (2013-2016, renewed 2016-2019) hosts this website and provides resources for organising seminars and events of all sizes.

Cambridge BHF Centre of Research Excellence (2014-2019) promotes multi-disciplinary research with focus on atherothrombosis. The Centre offers support through pump-priming funds and early career positions (PhD Studentships; Clinical Research Fellowships; Career Development Fellowships).

Oxbridge BHF Centre of Regenerative Medicine (2013-2017, renewed 2017-2021) is a joint effort between the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, and Manchester. It supports research through pump-priming funding and early career positions (PhD studentships 2013-2017; Postdoctoral Research Associates).

I was a senior scientist/manager/bioinformatician in my previous life, and still do some pre-eclampsia (FINNPEC; InterPregGen) and malaria (MalariaGEN) research during my free time. See below for relevant papers.
