The British Heart Foundation supports six UK universities as BHF Centres of Research Excellence. As part of this strategy, Cambridge has been awarded £3,000,000 for 2014-2019.
The BHF Cambridge Centre of Research Excellence focuses on unanswered questions in atherothrombosis through inter-disciplinary collaborations bringing together expertise in cardiovascular biology, population sciences and functional genomics. The Centre is led by BHF Professor Nick Morrell from the Department of Medicine, and is managed by Dr Katja Kivinen.
