We develop Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tools to assess atheromatous plaque inflammation and to perform biomechanical stress analysis. I have special interest in imaging functional activity of the carotid atheroma using Dynamic contrast enhanced and USPIO-enhanced MR imaging.  During my PhD, I investigate the utility of new member of ultrasmall superparamagnetic particle of iron oxide (USPIO) group called Ferumoxytol to highlight the risky spots (inflammation) in the carotid atheroma by Ferumoxytol-enhanced MR imaging.
